How on earth have I not posted on the Javster in nearly 9 months?!  Crazy-town.

Too many funnies to catch up on fully, but just 2 days ago the "Aunties" were here visiting.  Meanwhile it's the day after Christmas & Javik has gift money that's burning a hole in his pocket!  He was dying to purchase a new video game.
He asked if we could go right then to buy it.  I said no, because we have company here.
He thought for a minute and then said, "OK, this is my final effort, and I'm giving this all I've got...(then starts singing)  'Give it to me, I'm worth it!'"

Walking out to the car this morning I told Javik to be careful for slick spots. .. he said "Don't worry Mom, us Hodson men were bred for danger!"

Later I overheard him tell Z, "Zai Belle, you'll learn as you get older:  there is literally no end to my strength."

A little quip from Feb 16 2014 (soon after my kiddos started sharing a room...)

This morning I heard Z cry as she was waking up. By the time I got myself out of bed and made my way to her room, she had stopped. I walked in & Jav was consoling her. I said "Was she crying, Buddy?" He said, "Mom, I'll put it like this: She was like an adult Grizzly Bear, the fastest in his village, who had just found out that he missed the Salmon Run!"
Oh. That makes sense.

Z walked into the room : "Hey! Who the lights did turn off?!"
Jav says : "Well, Little Yoda, I don't know!"

Coming home from church, I told Jav that I had to be gone this afternoon, and that daddy & Zailey were both going to take a nap. I said "you'll kind of be on your own. Can you handle that?" He said "I'm six years old woman! Yes I can handle it!" lol

This morning while we were getting ready for school, Javik was telling me all about a book he just read about the Gila Monster.  After a slew of facts:
 "Mom, did you know that the Gila Monster has a venomous bite?"
"Oh really?"  I asked.
"Can you tell me what venomous means?"
"Um, it contains venom?"  I thought I'd see what he knew ;)
"Mom!  Did you hear me say venomous?  It obviously has venom... you can't explain a word by using the same word."  (Wow!  Way to go 1st Grade)
"Oh, OK... then I'm going to guess... it contains poison?"
"YES!!  You are correct!"  :)

I seriously love this kid's "creature quizzes"  and I'm not going to lie... I've learned a lot! lol

And he's an equal-opportunity schooler...
Z is obsessed with seeing farm animals on our ride to and from school.  Obsessed.  Like she wants to see "tows" and "dotes" and "dontees" at every turn.
This morning, after numerous requests for animals (along a stretch of highway that is nothing but corn fields) I said "Zailey, there aren't any animals here"
Jav felt like that was his cue to help out... "Yeah, Zailey... what do you think we are?  Producers of farm animals?!"

I can't wait for the years to come... ;)
