All day, Javik has referred to himself as the "Birthday Party Boy"
"Jav, are you hungry?" "No, I'm the Birthday Party Boy."
"Jav, are you sleepy?" "No, I'm the Birthday Party Boy."
...
You get the idea. =D

Well this evening while my Birthday Party Boy was playing outside, fighting through the "jungle" in our yard with his stick-sword, he brought me this flower. His excitement when he found it was priceless!
"OH! This is the most beautifulest I've ever seen in this whole world!"
and then he brought it to me...
"Here Mommy. Because you are a princess."

My goodness, could my heart have burst anymore?!
I never could have imagined how amazing it would be to have my own little flesh & blood person walking around, having thoughts of his own...
WOW.

leaving for week 2 of super summer was quite adventurous...
Cole was already gone so it was just the JavMeister & myself.

We stayed up waaaay to late... me packing suitcases & him watching The Upside Down Show
so when I woke up early Monday morning to start getting everything ready to go I stirred him...
He looked up at me... sleepy eyes & all... and said "Mommy?.... lay down."
So I said, "dude, I can't. It's almost time to wake up."
with aggravation in his voice he replied with "You. have got. to be. kidding. me!" and put his face back in his pillows!

LOL

then while I was actually loading the car, he was sitting in the living room watching TV...
I said "Javik, you need to find your sandals and get them on please" and I took load one out to the car.
I came back inside... he hadn't moved.
So I said "Javik, you need to find your sandals and get them on please" and I took load two out to the car.
I came back inside... he hadn't moved.
Same thing. Load three. Hadn't moved.
Load Four.
On load five I said "Javik, you're not listening and you're not obeying mommy. I've asked you to get your sandals on. If I have to ask you again, I'm going to spank your booty."
That little turkey looked right at me, partially covered his ears and said
"Mommy, your voice is sounding kind of like a horn."

I couldn't help but laugh a little. Where does he come up with this stuff?!
btw: he then put his sandals on =D

So one evening at Super Summer, whilst eating dinner in the cafeteria, Javik begins eyeing the guy sitting behind Cole (who was across the table from us)...
He climbs over to Cole, then leans over his shoulder and begins trying to get the attention of the guy.
All the while giving him the total stink eye.
Finally the guy looks over at Javik, and Jav says
"Hey. Why are you a dinosaur?" in a very 'Bond, James Bond' kind of voice!
So funny! And the guy was so great about it... he laughed right along with the rest of his table!
So then Jav asked him what his dinosaur name was... turns out its Matt.
So here's Javik with his friend Matt the Dinosaur, as we affectionately called him the rest of the week!
=D

At Super Summer, Javik & I pretty much just hang out all day & night. So there's lots of conversation time. =D

One morning ::
Hey Mommy, you know when God made the first man, Adam?
Yes...
And it was Adam & Eve?
Yes...
Well, that's kind of just like Adam & Brian!

Tonight on the way from the Bodkins' wedding to the reception we were chatting in the car...
somehow the topic of throwing rocks came up.
Cole says "We don't ever throw rocks, do we Javik?"
Javik comes back with "yeah, but David threw rocks with his flingshot and hit a Giant right in the head!"
=D
"And what was that Giant's name?"
"Go Liath!"

Then Cole starts quizzing him about other bible stories... and asks about Jonah...
Javik : "He was just traveling and God made him go to New York City, but he didn't want to go, so God sent a giant whale to come and eat him!"

Well I suppose Knowledge of The Truth has to start somewhere, right?!
Last night, laying down to go to sleep, this was the convo ::
J: "Mommy, does everybody have ears...for when I am talking?"
M: =) "Yep"
J: "Mommy, does everybody have a nose... to smell & sniff?"
M: "Yep"
J: "Mommy, does everybody have a mouth... to say things?"
M: "Yep:
J: "Mommy, I love your ears...to hear the TV; and your mouth...to tell me what to do; and your nose... for getting the boogers out."

I'm afraid of what his perception of me really is! =D

Tonight we were at church for Katie&John's wedding rehearsal... Javik pointed out the sign that marks the water valve near the building.
He goes "Mommy, see this sign?"
"Yep."
"It says No. Girls. On The. Playground!"
(wishful thinking on his part) =D

Once we were home we were talking about what to get for their wedding gift...
I said "Jav, what should we get for Katie&John for their wedding tomorrow?"
He said "Um, like a present? We should get them a pie!.... AND a motorcycle!"
such a man. food and motorcycles... he's definitely his daddy's boy!

We're watching TV late at night... 9:30ish... and Jav decides to lay down on the couch. then he starts rolling to the floor. I didn't pay much attention.
Next thing I know, he's laying here... sound asleep on the floor with his head under his stool!
so cute, I couldn't resist snapping the pics!
=D
Javik was watching TMNT today... where the turtles are fighting these ancient statues that have come to life...?! or something like that. =D
There's this part where they're fighting against a giant ape. It kind of scares Javik a little bit. I always tell him that anything scary on TV is just on TV. It can't really hurt him.
So today he goes "Mommy, that giant monkey in that cage is just a TV monkey. He's just on TV. So he can't hurt me...... but he IS a little bit scary."

LOL

Javik is totally my son!

Today he was playing his video game (which he doesn't really know how to play) and whenever the little guy runs into something or falls, he goes "OW!"
Javik just kept running him into things and making him fall, and just laughing & laughing!

I told ya, he's my boy!
Javik has decided that he'd like to have a baby at our house.
Not just any baby though, a baby sister.
And he'd like to name her Ipsie.

He said he's ready to teach her things, like how to read books, and how to play with firetrucks. In fact, after lunch, he wanted to save some of his gum for her. =)

I guess Javik's ready to be a big brother.

Oh boy. Today has been chock full of Javisms...

After church Grammy & GG came over for a little while to see some of our newly planted flowers and while they were here Javik offered everyone juice boxes. After we had all finished one, Javik very politely asks: "Would anyone like another juice box? They're delicious!"

Then we traveled to the hometown for Anchor Fest so Javik could use up the rest of his Grandma-provided-tickets. He rode every kiddie ride they had to offer... the merry-go-round (which is what he calls any carousel), a train, some flying elephants, and (his favorite by far) the race cars, which is a carousel of various vehicles. He loved those race cars so much! His little face just beamed the entire ride; and he didn't just sit there and ride either, he drove those things! He was steering and pushing a fake gas pedal and honking the horn... the whole nine! Well thanks to short lines on a Sunday afternoon, he was able to just hop from one car to the next and ride over and over and over again, while mommy just kept handing over those tickets! After about 6 rides in a row, we did take a little break, and I asked Javik "Do you love driving those race cars Buddy?"
He replied, "YES! But Mommy? I keep steering that little tiny steering wheel and those cars only turn to the left!"

LOL

So we came home and all 3 crashed into a much needed nap. After Jav woke up one of his first requests was a snack of course...a very specific snack:
"Hey guys, (to Cole & I) would anybody like some ice cream?"
"Ice cream? Do you think we have any?"
"Um... I don't know... Hey! I know! We can get some from the Ice Cream Truck!"
(haven't seen an ice cream truck in years...)
"Really? Where do you think the Ice Cream Truck is?"
"Oh, it's far far away... in Coney Island."
=)
so I had to ask, "Javik, do you know where Coney Island is?" (if he had answered, 'Oh, New York' I would have lost it!)
"Yeah. It's far far away on Dora... so we should probably just jump into the TV so we can go get some ice cream."

I tell ya, Bill Cosby wasn't lying... kiddos really do say the darndest things!

We were all working in the yard today & Javik was "sharing" the hose with us... meaning he was spraying everything and then giving it to us when we needed it.
Every time he handed it over, he'd say "Wow Mommy (or Daddy), you're a great sharer!" I think this was his way of encouraging / reminding us to hand it back over when we were finished.

One time, he handed it to Cole, and decided to inquire a little:
"Daddy, what are you doing with that hose?"
"I'm using it to wet the soil so I can dig this hole, buddy."
"Oh.... Daddy, you are a great guy!"

I don't know where he comes up with this stuff, but I've never met anybody who can melt my heart & make me laugh all at the same time quite like the Javster!
Last night Javik was at my parents' house. My mom was giving him a bath when all of a sudden... bubbles.
"Javi, did you just toot in the water?!"
"No Grandma, I didn't"
A few minutes later... bubbles.
"Javi, are you tooting?"
"Noooo"
Again a few minutes later... that's right... bubbles.
"Javi, you ARE tooting in the water! That's what's making all these bubbles!"
"Grandma, I'm not tooting... that's just my booty backfiring!"

LOL! Oh we're in for a real treat with this one! =D
